Reece James is criticized for picking Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi
On Twitter, users have voiced their disapproval with Reece James' decision to select Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi.
After suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player than Lionel Messi, Reece James came under fire on Twitter, where users accused him of having "zero football understanding."
On Wednesday, the Chelsea and England defender, who will be out from the World Cup due to injury, participated in an online question and answer session with supporters.
However, James' response to the issue of whether Ronaldo or Messi is better did not go over very well at all.
One more participant chimed in, saying, "Overrated player backing another overrated player." We understand'.
James also addressed a number of additional inquiries, including a query regarding the most challenging competitors he has met during the course of his career.
The 22-year-old picked three left wingers, one of whom is Vinicius Junior of Real Madrid, another is Rafael Leao of AC Milan, and the third is Sadio Mane, once of Liverpool and now of Bayern Munich.
James penned the following: "The three most difficult players I've ever competed against have all been left wingers!" A shout of "Vinicius Jr., Leao, and Mane!"
James's knee injury rendered his participation in England's World Cup squad impossible, despite the fact that he had hoped to be selected for the team.
James' return to club football is scheduled to begin at the end of this month, and it is hoped that he will be available not long after that.
