Celine Dion has Stiff Person Syndrome, which causes uncontrollable muscle tension.

The illness, which affects one in a million, locks the body into stiff positions, leaving victims unable to walk or talk.

Celine is doing all she can to minimize SPS symptoms, as there is no cure.

The 54-year-old singer postponed her European tour in an emotional Instagram message on Thursday.

She wrote, "Hello, Sorry for the delay in responding. I miss you all and can't wait to see you live.

'I've always been open, but I wasn't ready to say anything previously.

'I've had health difficulties for a long time, and it's been hard to face them and talk about them.

'I was just diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, which affects one in a million people.

We're still studying about this rare illness, but we know it's causing my spasms.

Celine said the disease has affected every part of her life, including her ability to walk and sing.

'It pains me to tell you that I won't be ready to travel Europe in February.

'I have a terrific team of physicians and children helping me get healthier.

'I'm working hard with my sports medicine therapist to regain my strength and performance, but it's a battle.

'Singing is all I know and everything I love to do.

"I miss you." I miss seeing you perform.

'I always give my show 100%, but my condition allows me to now.

'To contact you again, I must focus on my health, and I hope to recover soon.

'This is my focus, and I'm recovering.

'Thank you for your social media love and support. I'm grateful.

Take care. Well-being. I hope to see you soon!'

Celine then tweeted a flyer of her rescheduled and cancelled tour dates.

In January, she canceled the North American dates of her Courage world tour from March 9 to April 22.

The announcement came three months after she canceled her Las Vegas return residency.

Celine's Las Vegas residencies have made her the "Queen of Vegas."

She left Caesars Palace in 2019 to perform at Resorts World on the Strip.

Celine's rehabilitation from severe and chronic muscle spasms is taking longer than she hoped, according to her website.

Her doctors are evaluating and treating her illness.

Celine continued, 'I was hoping to be well by now, but I guess I just need to be patient and follow my doctors' orders.

Our concerts require a lot of planning and preparation, so we must make decisions today that will effect future plans. I'll be glad to regain my health, and I can't wait to return to the stage.'

'I've been affected by all the social media encouragement. I appreciate your love and support.

Celine's fans worried she was 'too skinny' in 2019.

The Canadian singer told Entertainment Tonight, 'I've always been thin.'

When I was 12, my face was rounder because I was younger and fatter. I've always been skinny.

Celine's SPS diagnosis comes after her spouse Rene Angelil's death in 2016.

Celine has three sons: Rene-Charles, 21, and 12-year-old twins Nelson and Eddy.

When she was 12 and Rene was 38, they met in Canada. Her boss.

Rene and Celine dated from 1987 to 1991, when she was 19 and he was 45.
