Elon Musk's Smartphones Delete Twitter from Apple and Google's app - CTB News
Musk Will Begin Making Mobile Devices Twitter's removal from the iOS and Android app stores is contingent on Apple and Google.
CEO Elon Musk stated on Friday that Twitter would be severely damaged if Apple and Google removed the app from their app stores.
Elon Musk responded to political pundit Liz Wheeler, who suggested that Musk make his own smartphone if Apple and Google removed Twitter from their app stores.
She then proclaimed, "Half the country would cheerfully dump the prejudiced, snooping iPhone & Android." If he can construct rockets that can reach Mars, surely he can master the intricacies of a smartphone.
If there is no other option, Musk said, "Yes, I will develop an other phone."
Musk's statement is in response to growing calls from businesses and progressive organizations to crack down on online "hate speech."
This week, in response to the campaign of pressure, Musk claimed that Twitter has taken action to curb hate speech.
A third fewer people have seen hate speech since the rise, Musk tweeted. "Way to go, Twitter!
Musk went on, "I have half a mind to wag my finger at the 1500 accounts that triggered the rise," but he restrained himself. It was good to lower the daily maximum of permitted tweets to a level even a speed typist on meth couldn't reach.
Musk then addressed DailyWire+ presenter Jordan Peterson's inquiry into his definition of "hate speech."
After being asked about the basis for this, Musk said, "This is simply based on the same list of phrases that Twitter has used for some time, so ceteris paribus."
Musk also declared on Thursday that banned accounts would be granted amnesty.
The decision was taken by Musk after he saw the final results of a poll he conducted on Twitter the previous day. In light of the findings, he stated that the platform would begin bulk unbanning accounts the following week, with the exception of those who had broken the law or engaged in significant spam.
Nearly three-quarters of participants, 72.4%, voted "yes," while only 27.6% voted "no," in the survey with more than three million people participating.
Musk wrote, "The people have spoken" once the poll was over. In a week, amnesty will be in effect. People's Will Be Heard, God's Will Be Done
Musk appeared to imply, just before the poll closed, that the platform would, in fact, dramatically reduce content filtering in order to target unlawful content and promote transparency.
