Alyssa Milano won't leave #elonmusk despite Whoopi Goldberg's objection...
Alyssa Milano has stated that she will not be leaving Elon Musk despite Whoopi Goldberg's disapproval.
Actress Alyssa Milano said on Tuesday's episode of "The View" that she plans to keep using Twitter despite her detest of Elon Musk.
On Saturday, Milano explained why she was selling her Tesla and voiced her displeasure with Twitter under Musk's leadership.
"I gave back my Tesla," Milano said. The result was that I went and bought a Volkswagen ev. "I love it" is such a weak expression. The advertising structure of Twitter is something I have yet to fathom. Promoting one's products in a way that is in line with racism and racial supremacy does not seem to be a profitable business plan, especially if the company is publicly traded.
When "The View" co-host Sunny Hostin declared on Tuesday that Twitter is a "hellscape," Alyssa Milano responded by saying that she, too, intended to keep using the platform despite her dislike for it.
They must hold that ground," she agreed. Very much like a territorial dispute. Personally, I think so.
Though co-host Whoopi Goldberg disagreed. “Nah. Not at all what I mean. If you don't want that one, Goldberg said, there are many more where that came from. That's the intended meaning now, at least. It's intended appearance is to be identical to our current reality, not improved upon.
However, Milano was not easily convinced. But if we're not there to represent our side of the political conversation, isn't that the same as saying, "You know what? You can have Twitter," she asked?
Co-host Joy Behar said that, in her opinion, leaving Twitter was the same as "handing it over."
Goldberg, who has since left Twitter, held a firm view.
Sometimes it's vital to step back from a situation until you've gained the required command. It's impossible to bring things under control at the present, she said. Once you've collected and fixed as many as you can, return here. Please, nevertheless, take a few minutes to read this. For your own good, she urged, "..."
Milano said at the show's close that she had been the target of nasty tweets in the past.
"I spent many sessions discussing Twitter and social media with my therapist," she said.
Hostin brought out how Musk has denied Milano's sexual misconduct allegations.
As she put it, "I can't live in that hypocrisy driving that automobile" when "he was accused of sexual misconduct and paid out $250,000 to this individual."
"I'm really irritated by all of these millionaires," she said, "save for maybe a handful of them, and most especially Elon Musk."
Let's say you decide to dump $40 billion into Twitter with the goal of destroying it. If Elon Musk donated that much money to UNICEF, just imagine what they could do. Because of him, the world as we know it would be drastically different. She promised him, "No one would go hungry."
The BBC reports that despite Twitter's changes, Musk's following keeps growing.
According to a recent article, Musk is attracting about 270,000 new followers every day, and if this trend continues, he will overtake all other users of Twitter in terms of influence in January.
