Salma Hayek Praises Angelina Jolie Amid Brad Pitt Divorce Turn | CTB NEWS

The turn in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's divorce hasn't stopped Salma Hayek from heaping praise on her.

Recently, Angelina Jolie has had a lot on her plate between focusing on her latest project and making sure her eldest daughter Zahara has a good start at Spelman. Then there are the headline-grabbing court battles with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

During a time like this, a woman could use some public and private encouragement. The actress Salma Hayek did just that in a recent interview with Deadline, complimenting Jolie's directing abilities. Hayek reportedly had a fantastic time on set of the recently completed film Without Blood, in which she co-starred with Demián Bichir. The 55-year-old actress credited Jolie, whom she called "the best filmmaker she's ever worked with," as the main reason for her feelings of satisfaction with the finished product. "I cherished every single minute of my time spent with her on the job. Hayek said, "It's a difficult piece, but it was so delightful to come to work every day." I believe this to be her finest work of art to date; she is a genius. I mean, she really did a fantastic job.

The women became close while working on the Eternals, and they took their kids on a press tour around the world, stopping to do some sightseeing along the way. Considering that Hayek may have some insight into how Jolie is dealing with the unpleasant news, a little praise probably goes a long way; and don't worry, she had a lot more to say about her wonderful buddy.
