Mike Tyson was spotted in a wheelchair after predicting his own imminent death.
Los Angeles, August 17 (IANS) Legendary professional boxer Mike Tyson has aroused more fears after he was sighted in a wheelchair, weeks after he stated that his death is coming "very soon." Tyson will be making his acting debut in Indian film with the Vijay Deverakonda-starrer 'Liger.'
The 56-year-old was rolled through Miami International Airport on a wheelchair. While he was taking pictures with his devoted followers, he leaned on a walking stick. According to aceshowbiz.com, despite being dressed head to toe in white, he appeared to be ill and was wiping his mouth with a white towel.
Tyson was also spotted in New York City carrying a walking stick. In his journey from the parking lot to his room, he made use of a walking stick that appeared to be the identical one he used in Miami.
A source assured TMZ that the reports of trouble were "nothing serious."
There has been talk that the former heavyweight champion is "suffering with a sciatica flare-up" in his back, which is due to "old wear and tear" and a "occupational hazard for an athlete like Mike."
What made things even more worrisome was that Mike had mentioned facing death in the same month in a conversation with his therapist and buddy, Sean McFarland.
On his podcast, "Hotboxin' With Mike Tyson," he stated, "Of course, we're all going to die one day."
"Mike admitted, "When I look in the mirror and notice those blemishes, I go, 'Wow. I'm getting close to the end of my useful life. Very soon'."
"Honestly, all I want to do is die peacefully. I'd rather not go out wailing at the top of my lungs. And I've heard the last rights of many individuals, including many renowned people, and they all depart this world yelling."
Mike also expressed his view that money is meaningless because it can't buy happiness or safety. With the question, "What is security?" he opened.
"I have no idea. That (does) rule out the possibility of contracting any sickness, right? A car won't run you over, right?" Inquired he. You can't go leaping off bridges, right?
He continued, "I usually tell individuals I tell that they think a lot of money is going to make them happy."
"They were never wealthy before. No one will adore you just because you're wealthy. You have a half a billion bucks, so how am I supposed to tell you how much I love you? Worse, it might lead to a sense of illusory security."
"That a financial institution could fail never occurs to you. Having a lot of money makes you feel that no one can see you, yet this is far from the truth. That's why I usually say that having lots of cash gives you a phony sense of safety."
