After the birth of their son through surrogate on August 5, Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson reached a custody agreement.

Khloe Kardashian, 38, and Tristan Thompson, 27, had their son via surrogate on August 5, but they have already worked out the custody arrangement and are co-parenting. The couple's custody arrangement has been discussed in EXCLUSIVE detail by a source close to the family, and the details have been shared with HollywoodLife.

Khloe will have permanent sole legal and physical custody of their child, as per an agreement between her and Tristan. In any case, Tristan couldn't be happier to have a son because he always wanted to have more sons. One source added that although Khloe will have exclusive custody of the baby, she is "more than happy" for Tristan to be as involved as he would like with their child.

True Thompson, 4, is the daughter of Keeping Up with the Kardashians celebrity Kris Jenner and Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson, 31. According to True's pal, "Tristan already has such a close bond with True, and he loves seeing how delighted she is to have become a big sister."

A friend of Tristan's described his presence with True on the day his daughter was born: "Tristan and Khloe felt it would be preferable to have Khloe be there in the hospital while the surrogate was giving birth, and to have Tristan back home looking after True. Khloe has a strong support system in place, so she isn't anxious about Tristan's decision to be present for his child. But Tristan has taken great care to be an involved and caring father to his son, and the couple couldn't be happier.

A second source commented on their co-parenting dynamic, stating, "Tristan is taking every chance Khloe allows him to bond with the kid, he's a very proud dad." He's been working hard to persuade Khloe that she should forgive him and they could be a happy little family again, but Khloe is maintaining very rigid boundaries. She makes it crystal obvious that she just wants Tristan around for the kids. And the good news is that he has indeed stepped up; he has been spending a great deal of time with True, which is terrific for her.
