Johnny Depp's trial private eye saw parallels between his father and his alleged Pirates of the Caribbean firing.

Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are waiting for their appeals to be heard in court. Since the trial finished, we've learnt as much about Johnny Depp as throughout it. A private investigator hired to investigate into Depp's past has found a link between Depp and his father's prominent job losses.
Amber Heard's legal team recruited Paul Barresi to investigate Johnny Depp. He recently spoke with the Law and Crime Sidebar podcast about similarities between father and son. Barresi recalls Johnny Depp's father, also named Jon, as a passive civil worker in the 1960s. This passivity was evident when Jon Depp lost a job so openly he made the newspaper, which his kid likely linked to later in life.
Jon Depp was the city manager of Frankfurt, Kentucky, but he was sacked in 1969 for proposing a minor tax increase. The mayor and city council didn't like it and forced Depp out. It made the newspaper, so it's public knowledge.
