Johnny Depp won't play Uncle Fester in Netflix's 'Wednesday' despite rumors.

 

Since a blind item was posted online, producers, writers, and other people in the film business have been saying that Depp will play the famous Addams family member.

 

My sources tell me, though, that Depp is not playing Uncle Fester and hence will not make a cameo appearance.

 

Our sources have said categorically that this persistent rumor is false. People working on the new Netflix show aren't doing much to squash the fan theory.

 

Instead of putting an end to the rumors, the cast and crew of the upcoming show are taking further precautions to conceal the actor's true identity.

 

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough declined to discuss Uncle Fester. "We have no comment on Uncle Fester," he said when asked who would be playing him and why that information wasn't included in the trailer, before telling the audience to "see the performance."

 

I can confirm that Johnny Depp is not Uncle Fester, but the article claims that he is a famous actor who has recently been involved in a court dispute with an ex-girlfriend or ex-boyfriend.

 

Moreover, the insider said that "great measures" are being taken to "guard the identity of Uncle Fester on the latest Netflix offering."

 

Director Tim Burton is "right to battle for his casting," according to the source quoted by Deuxmoi, and the "A+ lister is keeping things secret so that Ortegas' moment is not overshadowed by his ex's ongoing crisis."

 

Ever since then, supporters have kept the rumor mill in full swing.

 

Is anyone willing to wager that Uncle Fester, whose identity has not been revealed, is actually Johnny Depp? On Twitter, somebody put in their two cents. That's completely out there, but Depp has a penchant for playing offbeat roles, so it may be the case.
