United's priority is signing the forward that Erik ten Hag wants, but if the 22-year-old does arrive, Everton may be able to sign Anthony Elanga on loan.

United midfielder James Garner, also coveted by Southampton, is a fan favorite at Goodison.

After reconsidering a transfer for Frankfurt goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, United is also giving thought to Newcastle's Martin Dubravka.

Meanwhile, Marseille has announced that United defender Eric Bailly has joined them on loan.
