The sister of Amber Heard, who is also an actress, has spoken out against Johnny Depp's surprise appearance at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

However, Amber Heard's sister at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards is not impressed by Johnny Depp's unexpected entrance.

Star of "Pirates of the Caribbean" made a brief appearance in a prerecorded skit as the show's mascot, the Moon Person, on August 28. Some viewers may have been caught off guard by Johnny's appearance at the VMAs because MTV did not announce his appearance in advance.

Whitney Henriquez, Amber's sister, spoke out against MTV for featuring Johnny in the VMAs.

"@MTV You stink and you're obviously desperate "She shared her thoughts on Instagram. If any of the decision-makers involved in this matter have daughters, I truly pray that they are not among them.

She also posted a picture with the caption "I stand with Amber Heard" and a graphic that rechristened the ceremony the "DVMA's."

To date, CTB News' requests for response from Johnny and Amber's camps and MTV have gone unanswered.

The performance included Johnny's visage digitally merged into the moon man's helmet. At one point, he addressed the crowd and said, "In addition, you know what? In my position, I required the income, "while floating above Newark, New Jersey's Prudential Center.

Additionally, Johnny and MTV would publish the video to Instagram with the remark, "Can you name the person? #VMAs."

This summer, after six weeks of testifying, Johnny's defamation case against his ex-wife came to a close. On July 1, the jury found Amber guilty of defaming Johnny and awarded the actor $15 million: $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages.

Punitive damages were originally set at $10.4 million, but Judge Penney Azcarate of the Fairfax County Circuit Court eventually reduced them to the state's statutory ceiling or legal limit of $350,000.

In her countersuit, Amber was also awarded $2 million in compensatory damages.

Johnny filed a notice of appeal challenging Amber's $2 million decision on July 22.

Amber's new legal team was unveiled less than a month later as they began the process of appealing the verdict. A representative for Amber told CTB News on August 15 that "a different court demands fresh representation," especially given the additional evidence that has emerged.
